One person has been injured following an accident involving an 18-wheeler on the Beltway 8 feeder. The accident occurred yesterday afternoon, at about 2:40 p.m. at the intersection of the 8400 block of the Beltway 8 access road and Fondren Road.
Officers are still working to determine the cause of the crash, but officials state that a grey Toyota was trapped beneath the 18-wheeler as a result of the Beltway 8 collision. They believe the passenger side of the vehicle was impacted by one of the 18-wheeler’s wheels.
The driver of the Toyota was reportedly hospitalized, and is in unknown condition. The roads were blocked for several hours as crews worked to clear the scene.
