Three drivers were arrested following a suspected DWI crash involving a Houston Fire Truck and a Houston Police vehicle on U.S. 59. The accident occurred early Saturday morning at about 2:30 a.m. on the inbound lanes of U.S. 59 near Buffalo Speedway.
According to police, a police car was driving on the feeder road of U.S. 59 when it was sideswiped by a black Cadillac and a silver Toyota Camry. The police car suffered minimal damage to one of its tires. Following the accident, a Houston Fire Department vehicle arrived at the scene to block off the roadway where the crash occurred. A third driver in a red sedan then struck the fire truck.
All three of the drivers involved were arrested at the scene on suspicion of driving while intoxicated. None of the drivers or officials involved in the DWI crash were reported to be injured.
