A motorcyclist has died following a motorcycle crash that took place on Highway 6 yesterday. The motorcycle crash occurred yesterday morning at about 10 a.m. on Highway 6 near Grisby Road.
Witnesses state that a motorcyclist traveling southbound on State Highway 6 at high speeds attempted to make a left lane change, at which point he hit the rear of a grey Acura. The motorcyclist then lost control of the bike, hitting the center median between the north- and south-bound lanes. The cyclist then entered the northbound lanes, striking a Dodge Charger, and was ejected from the motorcycle.
First responders pronounced the motorcyclist dead at the scene of the accident at about 10:20 a.m. Investigators shut down both the north and southbound lanes of Highway 6 for several hours as they worked to investigate the crash. They also spoke with the drivers involved. Neither of the drivers of the vehicles involved were injured, nor did they show signs of intoxication. The case is to be investigated by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office Vehicular Crimes Division.
